Rice Price M.A. The quilt was part of her estate and bequeathed to her daughter Mrs. Jessie Evans,(wife of Thomas Evans) who brought it to Queensland in 1897. The quilt was given to Mabel Lawless, (born Mabel Evans in Gayndah in 1870 and granddaughter of the maker), and who was married to John Paul Lawless from 'Boobyjan' and 'Windera', Goomeri. Mabel gave the quilt to The Queensland Women's Historical Association in 1959.
